GPH is for people wanting to work as a deckhand on a vessel. The course has modules that overlap with the Coxswains courses but concentrates on deckhand duties.

- MARG012 Work effectively as part of a crew on a commercial vessel.
- MARN016 Apply general purpose hand skills aboard a commercial vessel.
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
