HF and or VHF radio are the ‘go to’ for marine communication, not only for commercial and industrial use but also for recreational boating. To operate a marine radio lawfully you need a licence. Also the marine radio has safety features like DSC (Digital Selective Calling) whereas you need an MMSI number which you can only acquire with a Radio Licence.
We run a licence course every week. Most of our training is done with an interactive online system so you can work through the course as fast or slow as you like and book in on the Saturday for final training and assessment.
Once you get the licence you have it forever, it’s a perpetual licence with no ongoing fees or renewing.
